Thats what Anet made teammates and heros for. They can snare just fine.

Well ok, speed boosts aren't THAT important in PvE, but who's gonna make you swing faster? Gonna buy lots of Essences of Celerity?

There are very, very few exceptions. Your build is not one of them.

Warrior's endurance/mystic sweep bars don't need it because they already simulate an IAS, steady stance warriors don't need one because they already have a very, very powerful stance that makes up for it.

That's pretty much it.

If you're running a PvP build without a snare or a speed boost, you won't be killing anyone. All someone has to do is run around in circles to turn you into a harmless tin can.
This is not an issue of "mainstream vs free as a bird happy super fun independent thinker", this is an issue of "basic functionality vs. waste of space"

IAS definately, speed boost useful. IAS gets +50% base damage and +50% adrenaline, as well as being able to get spikes off quicker in PvP. There are no stances that take place over the IAS. Speed Boost is nice to chase kiters in PvP, in PvE it's just to break Flail, which is more of a convenience thing than anything else.

This here tells me you actually know very little about playing a warrior other than possible obs flesh tanking and being useless...

I don't obs flesh tank... I have never done a DoA run. I play for fun, I use builds I enjoy, that work well, and thats all you really need to know.

Pretty much, actually.
Frenzy/Flail = 50% damage and adrenaline buff, alongside faster spikes.
Rush = the enemy can no longer negate 100% of your damage by pressing W.

No IAS is fail; no speed buff in PvP is mega fail.
There's all of... 2 half-decent builds which are exceptions; SS scythers and Warrior's Endurance hammer spammers; both of with rely on an elite stance. And the Endurance guy spams 3/4 and 1/2 attacks, faking an IAS

edit Gaahh.... Strangelove beat me to it

Because you are a "melee" character you are forced to get in close to do any sort of damage. Therefore mobility is a "melee" characters greatest weakest. If you can't catch your foe no matter how strong your skill bar is you are essentially no threat on the battlefield and thus you can be ignored while your opponents pound on your teammates. IAS increases your dmg and adrenline gain by 50%....that's a very significant increase. If you can't understand the basics of Warrior 101 I suggest you rethink your strategies. Then again if this is just for PvE, having Healsig + Frenzy and nothing else will still get you through the game. (you have 7 other players to make up for your flaws) I'm trying to help you understand the game. If you don't like my constructive criticism I can assure you that there are a lot less pleasant ways to get the point across.

Previous post makes the IAS point.

Speed boost... Let's see.

Target kites. You chase. Two people with nothing to do. What does that gain your team.

Why does originality mean great, and conformity mean bad? (Btw originality doesn't mean bad either, i'm just making my point)

Yeah, there are other sites for being a beautiful, unique snowflake. Here we like to talk about good builds.

@OP:

I'd drop shield up and berserkers for Watch yourself and either flail or frenzy for staters. As others have mentioned, you'll also want to think about a speed boost. If you are planning on PvP, you'll have to make some more drastic changes... which means replacing quivering for either dragon slash or cripslash and bringing for greater justice. Plus dropping the self heal for a res.

It also looks like you are using a major rune which is generally a no-no.

@Kalle:
You've lost the battle, so listen to others who know a little more about the game than you do.
